How to Do NYE in Easton: Rock-n-Ramble

As First Night Talbot has slowly faded and now officially come to a close (thank you Carolyn Jaffe for a legacy of NYE fun!), the Avalon Theatre is proud to step up and fill the New Year’s Eve entertainment gap with Rock-n-Ramble, a lively, music-forward celebration in the heart of Easton, MD. On December 31, we’ll do what we do best—bring people together through live music—with four bands rocking the Avalon main stage, while our friends at The Groove/Factory Arts Project transform the Stoltz Listening Room into a high-energy Silent Disco. Guests can fuel their fun with Ava’s Pizza and other food offerings available at the lobby bar starting at 6pm, then join a whimsical parade of Bay Creatures—created by artist Maggii Sarfaty—as they lead the crowd outside for the iconic Crab Drop at 9pm and again at midnight. We’re thrilled to celebrate creativity, community, and a brand-new tradition with you—thank you for an incredible year, and here’s to ringing in the next one together.

Live Music Lineup: Prepare for an exciting night with performances from four fantastic bands:
  • Heartside 7pm
  • Black Dog Alley 8pm
  • G-method 9:15pm
  • Old Dogs 10:15pm
Event Schedule:

First Wave (Family-Friendly): 6 PM - 9 PM
  • Doors Open: Enjoy the evening with your family. The doors and bars will open at 6 PM.
  • Food & Drinks: Savor delicious food from Ava’s at the Lobby Bar. As all local restaurants are fully booked weeks in advance, don’t miss your chance for a tasty meal right at the venue!
  • Silent Disco: Experience the excitement of a silent disco hosted by the Factory Arts Project in the Stoltz Listening Room. What is a silent disco? Here’s the fun part: participants wear wireless headphones and can choose from different music channels. This allows everyone to dance to their own beat while still enjoying the party atmosphere. It’s a unique experience that promotes individual enjoyment while creating a communal vibe!
  • Bay Creature Parade: At 9 PM, the first wave ends with a spectacular Bay Creature Parade that will move through the theatre and out into the street to witness the incredible crab drop!
  • Children under 12 can enter for free until 9 PM.

Second Wave (Adult-Oriented): 9 PM - Midnight
  • For those ready to continue the celebration into the night, the second wave is an adult-oriented experience featuring more upbeat and rocking music. Food from the Lobby bar will be serve until 11:30pm.
  • The silent disco will feature classic 1970's disco and 90's R&B.
  • Re-entry Policy: Once you've purchased your ticket, you can come and go from the theatre freely throughout the night. Enjoy the liberty of exploring other festivities in Easton while keeping the party going at the Avalon!

Don’t Miss Out!
Make this New Year’s Eve unforgettable at The Avalon Theatre. Enjoy fantastic music, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere, and don’t forget to participate in the exhilarating return of the Bay Creature Parade! Grab your tickets now and get ready to rock the night away!
