Multicultural Festival Moves to Easton Middle

After close monitoring of all weather apps, lots of hand wringing and conversation, we have made the decision to move the Multicultural Festival into Easton Middle School. We are hoping to have a hybrid type celebration (weather permitting) with some vendors set up outdoors and some inside. We know this is disappointing, we love the park too!!  In reading the impressive list of all the organizations & people who will be participating tomorrow, I am reminded what an exciting event this is.

A springtime favorite for 24 years on the Mid-Shore, the event celebrates the various cultures contributing to the rich vitality of our community. As always, along with the entertainment and delicious cuisine, there will be plenty of activities, including children’s games, face painting, and cultural crafts.

Food vendors include:
Free cotton candy from Easton Utilities
Hoots Mobile Shaved Ice
PIBH Camino de Fe - Hispanic Food
PortSide Grille Caterer
Queenie's Confectionery - Filipino Inspired Home Bakery
Royal "T" Catering
Samina Haq - Pakistany Food
Sindy Marin - Candy, Drinks and Fried Dough

We could not make this Festival happen without sponsorship and we are so grateful for For All Seasons, the Talbot County Department of Social Services, Talbot Family Network, Talbot Arts and the Town of Easton.

To think that we could pull off any event without the support of Mayor Megan Cook and the Town of Easton would be an understatement…from Lorraine at Parks & Recreation to the team at Easton Police Department to the crew at Public Works, we are so thankful for your support. Thank you to Easton Utilities for making sure we have electric in the Park, Talbot Arts & the Maryland State Arts Council for their continued support and lastly to our friends at the Chesapeake Multicultural Festival Resource Center who are always terrific partners.

On behalf of the Avalon Foundation Staff & Board, we thank you for being part of such a wonderful day of community and celebrating one another.
