Be in the Know with Bandsintown

If you love live music but hate finding out about a great show after tickets are already gone, the Bandsintown app can be a game changer.

The app is built to help music fans discover concerts nearby, follow favorite artists, and get alerts when bands are coming through town. Once you download it, you can connect your streaming accounts, search for artists you already love, and let the app build a personalized concert calendar around your tastes.

For music fans on the Eastern Shore, one of the best uses for the app is keeping tabs on shows at the Avalon and the intimate Stoltz Listening Room.

The historic Avalon hosts a wide range of performances throughout the year, from nationally touring musicians to comedians, tribute acts, film screenings, and community events. The Stoltz Listening Room, located upstairs inside the Avalon building, offers a much smaller and more personal setting with just 60 seats, making it one of the most unique places in the region to see a show. More than 100 performances take place there each year, often featuring folk, jazz, blues, Americana, and singer-songwriter acts.

Bandsintown makes it easy to follow both venues. You can search directly for the venue pages, hit “Follow,” and then receive notifications when new performances are announced. That means you do not have to constantly check calendars or social media to know when tickets go on sale.

Some of the artists and performers recently listed for the Stoltz Listening Room include Mark Erelli, Kim Richey, Greg Stone, and Goldpine. Bandsintown also lets you browse upcoming dates, buy tickets, save shows to your calendar, and even see who else is attending.

For local music lovers, following venues is often just as useful as following artists. You may discover performers you have never heard of before and end up finding your next favorite band. That is especially true at the Stoltz Listening Room, where the atmosphere is designed for audiences who want to really listen and connect with the performers.

To browse upcoming Avalon and Stoltz events directly, you can visit the Avalon events calendar or follow the venue page on Bandsintown.
