Motown & More

MOTOWN. Just the name evokes sounds and images of a past musical era full of great artists, classic songs, smooth choreography and exciting stage shows. Well, it's not all gone.

THE LEGACY LIVES brings it all back with an ensemble of today's most talented artists. Vocalists Vic Frierson, Karen Linette, Gene McBride, Deborah Poole-Williams and Micah Smith--each phenomenal in their own right--come together with exquisite harmonies to recreate classics and develop new musical arrangements. Since 2014, Motown & More has become a popular production in the Baltimore/Washington/Virginia region. Sell out shows at The Birchmere, Rams Head on Stage, Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club, Buchanan Hall and other noted venues lend credence to the idea that Motown is the music of our time and always brings a party.

All outdoor summer concerts, located on Harrison Street between Dover and Goldsborough Streets, begin at 7 p.m. They are free and open to the public. Bring some chairs and prepare to enjoy a pleasant evening of musical fun with your friends and family or call Hunters Tavern to make a dinner reservation on the patio: 410-822-4034. Children are welcome and dancing is encouraged.
