Easton, Maryland's Julie Parsons, a Wammie nominated artist celebrated by the Washington Post as "sassy and sensual," invites you to a musical gathering celebrating the themes of love, connection, and community through timeless jazz standards. Join her at The Avalon Theatre's Stoltz Listening Room on Thursday, June 12th for an evening dedicated to connection, community, and the heartbeat of human experience.
Julie's performance weaves together stories of love in its many forms—from romantic connections to the deep affection that builds communities and sustains us across generations. With warmth and authentic charm, she will lead you into a reflection on the power of love and music to build bridges between people, strengthen our common bonds, and nurture our sense of belonging.
The concert will feature the Julie Parsons Project Jazz Trio, one of the Eastern Shore's most prominent active jazz groups, with Julie on piano and vocals, Chris Levey on bass and Mark Gadson on drums. For this performance, the trio welcomes vibraphonist, Pete Chauvette. The evening promises special guest appearances by beloved local vocalists Carolyn Cutler, Darrell Parsons, and Kat Parsons—creating a true family and community celebration through music.
Don't miss this intimate exploration of the heart's journey, told through the timeless language of jazz.
Julie's new EP, Julie Parsons, featuring the Julie Parsons Project Jazz Trio is scheduled for release this spring.
