Join Bomani Armah for a genuine “sip-and-spit” party in the Stoltz!

Wait…What’s a “sip-and-spit” party?

It’s basically an open mic night that creates a fun and relaxed community space where people learn to write and perform raps about themselves!

Never rapped before? No worries!

Bomani, a teaching artist with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, will lead participants in a playfully engaging step-by-step process of “bustin’ rhymes.”

With 20 years of experience as a songwriter, performer, and educator, Bomani has done a residency in local schools and at the Talbot County Public Schools’ “bus-in” for the past few years. These events have been so well-loved and received by kids, teachers, and parents alike, he wants to share the love with the rest of the community!

There’s no dress code for sip-and-spit parties, but some people like to dress up in clothing inspired by Hip Hop fashion from previous generations.
