Announcing the 2025 Summer Camps

The Avalon Foundation is thrilled to announce “something old” and “something new” regarding Summer Programming. First and foremost, there will be more of what you know, love, and expect from our summer offerings, but with more to sink your teeth into in terms of offerings and opportunity availabilities!

Due to popular demand, as determined from our waitlists of years past, we are expanding this year’s offerings to 3 sessions of Curtain Call Junior! Your young person can be enrolled for all three weeks since each week will offer a different script and show.

In addition, Short Week Big Show is back for the 4th of July week, minus Friday July 4th, for campers entering grades 2-8!

We are excited to announce Passport Around the WorldMini Monets sessions of our new Early Childhood Arts Exploration Program! Aimed to serve our youngest campers, those entering grades K-2, this week starts with a beloved children's book, and it incorporates literacy, routine, and experiences in visual and performing arts, along with some of our traditional games and activities.  The campers then present a Friday performance to showcase the week. Your young person will have fun, be immersed in the arts, and combat summer slide while at the Avalon Theatre.

Taking part in theatrical productions at all ages has true literacy benefits. The new Early Childhood Arts Exploration Programs are designed and led by the fabulous early childhood educator, Renee Masarachia. She has over 20 years of experience enriching the education and lives of all she touches. Affectionately known as “Ms. M”, she will make every week sparkle for your young artists while incorporating her knowledge and expertise in the early childhood sector.

Let us be your “one stop shop” for camp this summer with our concurrent camp offerings!

Note that due to new programming and staff leaders, we are going to work to stick to max numbers and have waitlists. As in the past, the camp leader and director can add people from the waitlist to the camp roster at their discretion.

This experience will be led by an early childhood educator who has worked in the field for over 20 years! Each week will be centered on a topic and/or a children’s trade book.

In our special Mini Monets art camp week, campers will be infused into the world of Plein Air Easton, the Avalon Foundation’s annual outdoor art competition, and experience what it means to create art inspired by your surroundings.  Activities include model magic sculpting, drawing, painting, visiting local art galleries, interacting with plein air artists, and receiving hands-on experiences and guidance in creating art from your surroundings. Every day, weather permitting, campers will spend time creating pieces of art outside in “plein air”.
