Anansegromma of Ghana - Avalon Outreach
Anansegromma of Ghana

They were a huge hit last year with over 370 Talbot County sixth-graders, so its a great pleasure to welcome these two native Ghanaians, Kofi Dennis and Kwame Ansah-Brew, back to the Avalon Foundation Outreach Program!
The two performers, who teach at Goucher College and the University of Maryland, explore the traditional music, storytelling, and dances of a typical Ghanaian village through fun, interactive call-and-response songs, games, rhythms, and authentic African instruments.
Their inspiring, child-oriented workshops use their rich West African heritage to explore themes of cooperation, courage, hope, caring and sharing!
Free for all 6th grade public school students. For any homeschooled students interested in attending, please contact Suzy Moore at suzy@avalonfoundation.org.
