Summer Camp 2022 Programs
ACT – Shooting Stars Camp
June 13 - 17 (9:00 – 12:00)
Performance Friday at 12pm
Entering grades K – 3 Tuition: $175
Avalon Children’s Theatre (ACT) programs focus on an introduction to basic acting skills, inspiring imagination and creativity. Children will learn to portray characters and articulate emotional responses as an actor while building social skills and self-esteem at the same time. At the end of the week our “Shooting Stars” campers will shine on stage as they perform their mini-show full of singing, dancing, acting and FUN!
Petite Players
June 20 - 24 (9:00 – 12:00)
Performance Friday at 12pm
Entering grades K – 2 Tuition: $175
The focus of this introductory theatre program is to develop creativity and self-confidence through acting, singing, poetry, movement, storytelling, and FUN! Our Petite Players will work towards performing a show on Friday to show off what they have learned!
Curtain Call
June 27 - July 1st (9:00 – 3:00)

From comedy sketches to dramatic stories, we create it all ourselves. The Curtain Call theatre program accommodates brand new beginners as well as experienced young actors. Daily activities include theatre games, storytelling, script writing, voice and movement techniques, character development, and stagecraft. Monologues, one-person dialogues, alongside creative staging will be used to build a show completely from our campers’ imagination!
Plein Air Art Camp
July 18 - 22 (9:00 – 3:00)
Art Show & Sale on Friday at 3pm
Entering grades 5 – 8 Tuition: $275
Campers will be using the town of Easton as their backdrop and Plein Air Easton Events & Exhibitions as inspiration and direction. Activities include painting, visiting local art galleries, interacting with plein air artists, as well as receiving hands-on instruction and guidance from an art educator on the techniques of painting in and from your surroundings. Every day, weather permitting, campers will spend a great deal of their time painting outside in “plein air”.
“Where the Wild Things Are”
Visual & Performing Arts Camp

Be part of bringing our adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are to life while integrating drama and visual art. You will take part in a mask making workshop to create your very own monster mask to be part of the wild festivities in our final production! This will just be the beginning of where visual art and theater techniques meet to bring this classic tale to life!
Curtain Call Jr
August 1 - 5 (9:00 – 3:00)

This program focuses young actors on developing basic acting and storytelling skills, through a variety of fun daily activities and games - similar to Curtain Call, with all activities adapted for the “Junior” age group. This group will work to perform a script that has been adapted from an age-related children’s trade book for their Friday Performance!
Curtain Call: Fusion
August 8 - 12 (9:00 – 3:00)

Curtain Call Fusion is as the title says, a fun mix of the best Curtain Call Jr and Curtain Call programs have to offer! Brand-new beginners, as well as experienced young actors, will have the opportunity to be in a big show that they have input on the final scenes of the script! Daily activities include theatre games, storytelling, scriptwriting, voice and movement techniques, character development, and stagecraft. This group will work to perform a script that they have helped complete for their Friday Performance!
