The focus of this introductory theatre program is to develop creativity and self-confidence through acting, singing, poetry, movement, storytelling, and FUN! "Where the Wild Things Are" Art & Acting Camp July 5 - 9 (9:00 – 3:00) Performance Friday at 3 P.M. Entering grades 2 – 8 Tuition: $275
Be a part of bringing our adaptation of "Where the Wild Things Are" to life! In addition to drama and visual art activities, campers will take part in a mask making workshop where they will create their very own monster mask for the wild festivities in our final production! This will just be the beginning of where visual art and theater techniques meet to bring this classic tale to life!
Plein Air Art Camp July 12 - 16 (9:00 – 3:00) Art Show & Sale on Friday at 3 P.M. Entering grades 5 – 8 Tuition: $275
Campers will be using the town of Easton as their backdrop and Plein Air Easton Events & Exhibitions as inspiration and direction. Activities include painting, visiting local art galleries, interacting with plein air artists, as well as receiving hands-on instruction and guidance from an art educator on the techniques of painting in and from your surroundings. Every day, weather permitting, campers will spend a great deal of their time painting outside in “plein air” which is one of the safest places to be at present.
What does it mean to be a preteen or teen during a global pandemic?!? From comedy sketches to dramatic stories, we create it all ourselves. The Curtain Call theatre program accommodates brand-new beginners as well as experienced young actors. Daily activities include theatre games, storytelling, scriptwriting, voice and movement techniques, character development, and stagecraft. Monologues, one-person dialogues, alongside creative staging will be used to build a show while following social distancing protocols.
Curtain Call Fusion is as the title says, a fun mix of the best Curtain Call Jr and Curtain Call programs have to offer! Brand-new beginners, as well as experienced young actors, will have the opportunity to be in a big show that they have input on the final scenes of the script! Daily activities include theatre games, storytelling, scriptwriting, voice and movement techniques, character development, and stagecraft. Monologues, one-person dialogues, alongside creative staging will be used to fine-tune and polish a show while following social distancing protocols. The Curtain Call: FUSION camp is FULL. Curtain Call Jr August 9 - 13 (9:00 – 3:00) Performance Friday at 3 P.M. Entering grades 2 – 5 Tuition: $275
This program focuses young actors on developing basic acting and storytelling skills, through a variety of fun daily activities and games - similar to regular Curtain Call, with all activities adapted for the “Junior” age group. This group will work to perform a script that has been adapted from an age-related children’s trade book for their Friday Performance! The Curtain Call Jr camp is FULL. ACT Program – Matilda the Musical, Jr. July 19 – August 26 (3:00 – 5:00) 6-Week Program! Rehearsals: Mondays & Tuesdays (PLUS Wednesdays for small group intensives – TBA each week) Performances on August 27 & 28 Entering grades 6 – 10 Tuition: $300
Our musical theatre program incorporates singing, dancing and acting all in one! This performance-driven camp is for those who love the Broadway musical style of performing. In addition to learning basic theatre skills, students will enjoy the camaraderie of building a show from start to finish.
Meet Matilda! She has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
